Collective Publication
Created and organized by Camila Heredia Oranday, 2024. 
"Con el Nopal en la Cara" is a collective artistic publication that expresses the urgent need felt by many Mexicans to leave their country of origin in search of better opportunities, and the roots of that need.
This collective work is divided into three chapters, each featuring two artists, and is built around metaphors related to plants and roots.

The first chapter, to which I contributed, addresses the extent of these sacrifices. For this part, I created a notebook made up of letters I wrote after arriving in France—letters addressed to my family that I never sent. I intertwined these letters with archival photos of the places where I grew up, which no longer exist, as well as photos taken in France representing the various places where I have lived. On the border between documentary and artistic work, this series gave me the opportunity to combine text and image—a common practice in my work.
