Ser nómada significa no pertenecer
Que los recuerdos de tus anteriores hogares se vuelvan borrosos con el tiempo
Que el visitar el pasado se vuelva nostálgico y fuera de escala
Que lo que se queda en tu memoria, sean olores, sean sabores, sean sonidos
Que las personas se vuelvan tu hogar y que el extrañarles te quiebre elcorazón
Que tu identidad se componga de pequeñas partes encontradas en lugares geográficos separados por miles de kilómetros de distancia
Que nada sea realmente como lo recordabas porque el tiempo hizo de las suyas y ahora tienes que crear recuerdos nuevos
Que tus vínculos sean las raíces que te mantienen aferrada a un lugar
Que ese lugar sea efímero, sea cambio, sea vida.
For those people who are "casita"
To be nomadic means not belonging
That the memories of your former homes become blurred with time.
That visiting the past becomes nostalgic and out of scale.
That what stays in your memory, are the smells, the tastes, the sounds.
That people become your home and that missing them breaks your heart.
That your identity is made up of small parts found in geographic places separated by thousands of kilometers of distance
That nothing is really the way you remember it because time has played its part and now you have to create new memories.
May your ties be the roots that keep you clinging to a place.
May that place be ephemeral, may it be change, may it be life.
